Here’s another post that’s related to the idiocy of the English language as it exists today. If you haven’t already, please check out last week’s post and the post that I reblogged two weeks ago that also deal with the English language. If you can’t tell, I’ve been on an English Idiocy roll now thanks to that original post. Below is another poem from a source that I do not know — another unknown author — that showcases the ‘importance’ of spelling within the English language. Trying to read it, hopefully you don’t get too lost in trying to make perfect sense of it all! Enjoy!

Eye halve a spelling chequer
It came with my pea sea
It plainly marques four my revue
Miss steaks eye kin knot sea.
Eye strike a key and type a word
And weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar write
It shows me strait a weigh.
As soon as a mist ache is maid
It nose bee fore two long
And eye can put the error rite
Its rarely ever wrong.
Eye have run this poem threw it
I am shore your pleased two no
Its letter perfect in it’s weigh
My chequer tolled me sew.
