Personal Updates

November 4, 2008

Wow, I haven’t posted anything here in the longest time! I don’t even know where to start anymore! Well anyways, here is what’s been going on with me during my leave of absence.

1) I’ve currently been writing and recording new material as well as editing and re-editing old stuff. Sometimes tough, but still worthwhile! New material will be posted in the coming weeks.

2) A tough decision ["tough" used very lightly], I decided to not include Read the rest of this entry »

It’s the End of the World – At least for now …

September 16, 2008

Alright, I know it’s been awhile since I’ve updated my blog, but hey – I’ve got a life, too! Anyways, as most of you have noticed, the Olympics have been over for quite some time now, which is good! For those of you who haven’t noticed, well – where the hell have you been living?! The bad thing about the ending of the Olympics, now the Olympic Athletes feel like they’re frigging celebrities, pssh – as if!

Now to the real reason I’m writing this. As some of you have noticed, and an astonishing number of you haven’t, the LHC at CERN is finally up and running! If you don’t know what the LHC is, it is the machine that many predict will bring the end of the world as we know it! The main thing that they’re planning to do is Read the rest of this entry »

Canada and the Olympics

August 18, 2008

If you read yesterday’s post, you would have read that Canada had 3 medals! Now here are some updates and further information about it. Canada is currently at spot number 17 of 66 countries that currently hold a medal. Canada at the moment has 2 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals! Yeah, can you believe it?!

From watching us play and compete and get nothing, to finally getting a total of 9 medals at the moment. We’re making our way up, … slowly! The top 5 countries with the most gold medals in the Beijing Olympics 2008, at the moment, are: Read the rest of this entry »

Very Late Update and the Oplymics 2008

August 17, 2008

A quick sorry for taking so long to give you an update, but hey – better late the never! Here’s a very late quick update on the explosion: there have been a couple injured and dead, and many people are still left house-less and homeless.

Now another quick update!           The Olympics: the Canadian perspective!

Words that could’ve been seen being passed freely throughout the Internet these last days may include: yay, w00t, boo yah, booyakashah, finally, took long enough, and many others! Alright, I know the list seems a bit random, in fact quite odd too. I mean who the hell says “booyakashah”?! [Ali G]. For that matter, who even uses “yay” anymore? Anyway! Canada finally, after many a drunken nights of arguing and fighting, our hopes were raised. Well, a bit … ish. Canada actually earned legally, no bribes this time, three medals! One of which was a gold medal! Awesome!!

Fine okay, some of the things above are unfunny jokes but I still tried to entertain you from other wise boring unedumacated news! So yeah!

Update on Toronto Explosion

August 11, 2008

There are some updates on the explosion that occured in Toronto yesterday morning. For those of you who didn’t hear about it, a propane tank exploded at roughly 3:00AM in Downsview , borough of North York, city of Toronto.

Updates: A firefighter was injured during the extingtion of the 6-alarm blaze, was sent to hospital and later was pronunced dead. As well, a couple families were able to return back to their houses in the outer layer of the affected area. Many are still left homeless though. Streets are slowly re-opening but the area main intersection of Keele and Wilson Avenues are still under investigation. As of yet, there is no say as to when people will be allowed back into the main area. For those wondering, the firefighter’s name has not been released as of yet.

That’s the information that I have so far, more updates posted in coming days! Check back regularly for all the latest info on both events, new and updates about me!

An Explosion in Toronto

August 11, 2008

On approximately 3:00AM Sunday morning, there was an explosion in Downsview, Toronto! The first explosion was made from a propane tank at a gas station, I don’t know exactly what caused the explosion but all I know is that this was one of the biggest explosions ever seen in a city like Toronto. The first explosion led to several different explosions, one after another, waking people up for miles at 3:00AM. There have been many predictions for the cause of the explosion of the first tank. Some believe it was heat, unknown from where, and then few actually believe it was a form of terrorism, although I highly doubt it! The weird thing about this event is that it has been said in the news that the explosion has been has been seen and heard from as far as Niagara-on-the-lake in Aurora, and yet I live just in Read the rest of this entry »

My Thoughts on 888

August 10, 2008

For the past few weeks I’ve been psyched for 888, for those of you who don’t know what 888 is, it is a YouTube Gather-Up Event Welcoming Party held this Friday, August 8, 2008 at the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto, CA. Since late June, early July, there has been much talk about 888 and much expectation, at least from me. So finally, after a month of waiting the date finally arrived! I got there a little bit late, because of some people, but I’m not mentioning any names, because there are too many to name. The party started at around 7, I got there at about 9, so yeah, talk about being fashionably late!

I walk in and wow, we had to take like three or four escalators in order to reach the party rooms! Luckily there were signs posted around and personnel helping us find our way, if it wasn’t for them I would’ve never made it to the party nor back! By the way, that was only my second time going to the OSC! Anyways, I’m there and there’s less people than what I expected, but okay I just thought that maybe everyone is just scattered around the different rooms. The funny thing is that the room where the music was, was virtually empty. Everyone was everywhere else! The free “food” that I was able to find were chips, pretzels and popcorn lying around on different tables and sadly the booze was not free. I had to pay $7 for a cup of vodka! Damn! Anyways, at the end of the party I had to conclude that last year’s YouTube Canada Party in October at the Berkeley Church was much better and more exciting. It was actually live! Unlike this “party.”

Not really looking forward to 999, if there even is one! Then again, Read the rest of this entry »
